My second review of the day, is on the blog tour of A Wedding at Wynter House by Emily Harvale, Book 3 in the Wynstersleap series. I love Emily’s books and this is another heartwarming, read with a wonderful happy ending for one couple…..
book blurb & info
Not everyone at Wynter House is thrilled about this wedding.
Secrets have been revealed and new relationships begun. Now it’s time to look to the future. Neva and Rafe are in love and so are Adam and Hazel. Jo’s love life leaves a lot to be desired, although Gavin could remedy that.
But Rafe’s grandmother, Olivia still hopes that something will tear Rafe and Neva apart. Hazel’s new assignment means nursing someone back to health … and there’s history between them. And Jo’s receiving texts from her ex-fiancé.
Then Rafe’s first wife, Pippa – the woman who broke his heart, unexpectedly arrives. And she’s even more beautiful and irresistible than Rafe remembers.
When everyone is looking to the future, will the past prove to be too strong?
There will be a wedding at Wynter House … but who will be the bride and groom?

Neva & Rafe are still wrapped up in their newly found love, Adam & Hazel are loved up too and Jo is feeling left out and in need of some manly attention!! Everything is going well, everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day with some unexpected and lovely surprises and then things start to fall apart……
Rafe’s ex-wife turns up out of the blue, as gorgeous as ever, which sets Neva on edge and causes some earth-shattering truths; Hazel is called to care for someone from her past ~ someone that might affect her relationship with Adam; and Jo receives a saucy text from her ex. But will they let their pasts come back to haunt them and affect their futures? And who will end up tying the knot at Wynter’s House in the end?
I adored this, and I think this is my favourite story in the Wyntersleap series. The story takes us on an emotional rollercoaster and at times I was so unsure about what would happen to some of my favourite couples. They all seem to be going through a testing time and not all of them will come out the other side…… But it does end with a wedding and it’s so heartwarming and lovely. It’s full of happiness, celebrations and a bit of heartbreak, but will make you smile nonetheless.
All our favourite characters are in it, and it’s great checking back in with them. Olivia is her usual moany self although we do see another side to her in this…….I was delighted to see Jo finally starting to find some happiness……and with someone unexpected. And I was over the moon for some of the characters to finally get a happy ending!
Obviously these books overlap with the Merriment Bay series, and I would say that if you are reading those too, there is a lot of overlap to begin with and I kind of felt like I was re-reading things from before; but it was a wonderful reminder and it didn’t put me off (as I love that series too).
As always I love the setting. Wynter House sounds grand and amazing, and I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like living there! Wyntersleap and Merriment Bay sound as gorgeous as ever, and it always makes me want to pop there and meet the hilarious and somewhat eccentric locals! And I loved that there was a wedding a Wynter House – yay!
Overall, this is another fabulous, feel-good novel that will set you on a bit of a rollercoaster but bring you a happy ending. It made me smile, laugh and worry, and I can’t wait to see what comes next. If you’re looking for your next fun, enjoyable, quick and heartwarming read then check this out! You can read it as a standalone as there is background within, but I would say that it’s best to read the previous books first ~ they’re fab too! Highly recommended by me – fab book and series.
