Evening my lovelies.  A long day of interviews for me, and I’ve just got home! But I’m delighted to be on the blog tour and bringing you a review of All The Wrong Places by Joy Fielding – a brilliant and gripping psychological thriller…….

the blurb

Turning to online dating each with their own reasons, four women download an app, hoping to swipe their way to love and happiness.

But not everyone is who they seem online. Hidden behind a perfect smile and charming humour, he appears to be the perfect date. But the night he has planned is unlike any other.

The clock is ticking, and for one woman, this date might just be her last . . .

my review

After her boyfriend cheats on her with someone close to home, Paige downloads an online dating app in the hope of getting herself back on the market.  But at the same time other women are doing the same…..and some of them aren’t coming home after their dates…….

The story revolves mainly around Paige, her Mum, her best friend Chloe and her cousin Heather, who each have different things going on in their lives…..each with a tale that will have you thoroughly gripped.  The dating app has an impact on their lives in more ways that one, and it appears there is a serial killer on the loose…..

We follow Paige’s life as she dips her toe into online dating, but could it end badly for her…..will she be the next victim?

Chloe has her own marital problems and is trying to deal with a philandering husband, and make a decision about how to move forward with her life.  Will she make the right decision for her and her kids? And is her husband really all he seems?

Paige’s Mum also decides to dip her toe into online dating at the age of 70 after losing her husband a couple of years ago.  But will she find the happiness she is looking for and deserves?

We also get the narrative from Mr Right Now….a man signed up to the dating apps who has more on this mind than finding love…..but will he get his ultimate prize?

I was completely hooked from page 1.  The story completely sucks you in from the start and I just wanted to keep reading to see what would happen to each of these characters.  You can’t help but love Paige, her Mum and Chloe.  All fantastic women who I was routing for the whole way through, whilst being on the edge of my seat hoping they would make it!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the way this was written.  It’s really easy to follow, and I love the way it flits between characters but with the stories intertwining in some way.  There are plenty of twists and turns along the way, one’s that I didn’t even imagine and they are truly fantastic.

This is my first novel by Joy Fielding and I will most definitely be seeking out some more of her stories.  If they’re as good as this, I’ve been missing out!  If you’re looking for the next psychological thriller, that’s relevant to life now and will get you thinking, then this page turner is for you!!
