Another different little post from me today…..two in one day!!
I’m excited to be taking part in a 12 Days of Christmas Bonanza for this lovely Christmas book (we all know how much I love a Christmas book!). There are a few (12 obviously!) bloggers taking part and you can learn something new about Linda every day! All the blogs taking part in the fun are here:
Thrown together by fate, three women get a second chance to go back in time and change their lives forever. They say once in a blue moon you get the chance of a lifetime, and this was that blue moon.
Three friends. Second chances. One miraculous Christmas.
day 5 – the ugly christmas sweater pass off
So lets hear Lindas post for today……
When I was in my teens my mother gave me a Christmas sweater that was bright red and had a sewn on Mrs. Claus complete with fuzzy white hair. She thought it was just wonderful, I thought it was horrid. Every year I pretended I couldn’t find the sweater, and she would pull it out again from some drawer in her house! One year I tried to give it to my young cousin, to just get it out of our lives, but my mother got very upset at my trying to pass it along.
Thus, another Christmas stuck with the sweater.
In my twenties I moved out to Los Angeles and I got married. My family flew out to celebrate and we had a fabulous time. When my new husband and I opened up all the gifts after they left, I found a special wedding gift from my mom. I opened up the box and that darn ugly Christmas sweater was inside! It was faded, and Mrs. Claus once white hair was now grey and dirty fuzz. One of her mittens was torn off.
I had to laugh at the joke on me and they all had a good laugh back home thinking of my face when I found that wretched sweater had followed me to LA!
