This is a fast paced intriguing psychological thriller which will have you hooked!

Vicki’s husband Daniel once promised to love her in sickness and in health.  But after a brutal attack left her suffering with epilepsy, he ran away with his mistress.

So when Vicki gets a call one day to say that he’s missing, her first though is ‘good riddance’.  but then the police find evidence suggesting that Daniel is dead.  And they think Vicki had something to do with it……

What really happened on the night of Daniel’s disappearance?

And how can Vicki prove her innocence, when she’s not even sure of it herself?

This is my first Jane Corry novel and I was suitably impressed! I have already added Jane’s previous novels to my ‘want to read’ list.

In the first part of the book the story follows Vicki, who’s ex-Husband has gone missing and Scarlet, a young child exploited by her Mum. I was confused when I started reading as to what Scarlet had to do with the overall story but it all comes together! Vicki is accused of been involved in her ex-Husbands disappearance, and due to her epilepsy is unable to confirm, or deny her involvement. This leaves her, as well as the police, wondering whether she did have something to do with it and going out of her way to try to find out whats happened to him.

I don’t want to give anything away as the fact that I hadn’t read any reviews before reading the book made it even more thrilling and intriguing as other than the synopsis on the back, I had no idea what to expect…..therefore I don’t want to ruin it for others!

The book is gripping and will have you turning pages to discover the story, and secrets, unfolding. I was nearly at the end of the book and still had no clear idea of how everyone was connected or how it would end. The ending didn’t disappoint!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend to others who want to get lost in a gripping thriller.

Have you read this? Let me know what you thought!
