A very happy new year to you all ūüíĖ I really hope it is a wonderful year for each and every one of you.

As promised I wanted to do a post about the things I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas, each and every one I’m truly grateful for so many many thanks to everyone that was kind enough to get me a present!

There is a video up on my channel which you can see here:

So what did I get?

First off was the lovely pressies from my Mum & Dad. ¬†I got another years subscription to Current Archaeology Magazine and¬†World Archaeology Magazine…..which for those of you that don’t know, I’m actually in my first year (but 2nd part time year of SIX!) of studying for a degree in Archaeology, so this is really good for keeping up to date with current news, technology and finds.

They also got me the MOST amazing¬†pyjamas ūüíĖ Surely EVERYONE agrees that there is nothing better than a new pair of PJs for Christmas?!?! This year my parents definitely excelled themselves!! ¬†I got the most beautiful, comfortable pair with UNICORNS on from TU at Sainsburys and they are LUSH!!

My little sister also got a pair and we have been LOVING the fact that we have matching PJs! ¬†They are sooooo soft, I literally don’t want to have to take them off!

Mum & Dad also got me a lovely soft grey jumper too but it’s in the washing so no picture of it yet I’m¬†afraid.

I got lots of little make up bits from my Husband who did an AMAZING job, considering he chose them all himself (except the brushes!).

The make up¬†brushes are from Spectrum collection (I’ll list all links at the bottom of this post) and they really are BEAUTIFUL! ¬†They are so soft and pretty, I couldn’t wait to use them (and they didn’t disappoint when I did!). I’ve only used a couple of apply my foundation and eye shadow but application has been good so far ūüėĀ

From e.l.f I got:
  • Eyeshadow¬†palette in Need it Nude
  • Oil Free SPF 15 Sunscreen, Flawless Finish Foundation in the shade ‘Natural’
  • Beautifully Bae Foundation¬†Serum with Goji Berry, SPF 25 Sunscreen in Fair/Light
  • Lengthening ¬†& Volumising Mascara in Black
  • Matte Lip Colour in Cranberry
I’m really impressed with e.l.f so far. ¬†I think the packaging, especially of the eyeshadow palette, looks really smart and good quality. ¬†The mascara has done a good job and so has the matte lip colour; both of which I wore all day on Christmas Day. ¬†The mascara did need a little¬†re-coat later on but¬†I would normally do this with other mascaras anyway and the lip colour felt really creamy on my lips (I applied lip balm underneath). ¬†It did seem to¬†clump very slightly around the edges at times but I was eating and drinking a lot!!!
I haven’t tried the foundations yet other than a quick squirt on my wrist; they both match my colour perfectly and blend in well. ¬†They’re of a really light consistency so will be interesting to see what they are like when I wear them all day. ¬†The only downside is the fact that they do need to be reapplied throughout the day (it explains on the box), every 2 hours which is less than a normal sunscreen but obviously more¬†than a longer lasting¬†foundation. ¬†I will do a proper review though when I get round to trying them (when the weather isn’t so hideous!!)
From Barry M:
  • Gift set which included Icicle and Gingerbread
  • Liquid Chrome Nail Paint in ‘Razzle Dazzle’
  • Molten Metal Nail Paint in ‘Gold Digga’ and ‘Purple Frost’
  • Nail Paint in ‘Fashion Icon’
I do love my polishes and the colours of these are beautiful. ¬†I’ve not put them on my nails yet though as I’ve been in the midst of essay writing!! ¬†The only downside I have found with the Barry M polishes I have used to date, is that they do chip quite quickly but then I work at a computer so don’t think that helps much!!
Now, on to my MAIN pressies ūüíē
ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE!!!!  You can see it up close in my video above.
My lovely sister, brother in law and nephew bought me the make up organiser on the right hand side (don’t know where from!) which is so useful for putting all the bits in that I use on a daily basis!
The main whiteshelf/drawer is from Ikea, mirror is from Dunelm Mill, and the stool is from Wayfair (which I bought with some of my Christmas money).
The nail varnish organiser, hairdryer/straightener organiser, acrylic make up drawers, cotton pad holder and cotton bud holder were all from amazon.
This is literally my favourite place to sit right  now, I think I go through my skin care routine more than needed just so I can sit here!!
So as you can see, I was a very lucky girl this Christmas!  I really am truly grateful and would like to say a MASSIVE thank you again to everyone.
What was your favourite present you got for Christmas? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
I’ll be back soon ūüėČ
