I’ve recently done a YouTube video on my daily skincare routine using my vegan and cruelty free products and wanted to follow this up with a more in-depth review of the products on my blog so here goes…….my FAVOURITE skincare products at the moment!!!

If you’re interested you can watch my YouTube video here:

The order I’ll talk about them is the order I use them so they’re not in a particular ‘favourite’ order! So……

My morning routine…..

1. Balm Balm Coconut Cleanser

I use this every day when I have a shower and apply using a Konjac Sponge (coming next!)
Importantly Balm Balm is Leaping Bunny accredited – meaning they are a cruelty free company…Yay!!!  This cleanser is super light and moisturising and really cleanses my skin.

It is made from blended coconut oils so is suitable for sensitive skin and even for removing your eye-make! (Double yay!!). Also, all the ingredients are organically grown!

I really love Balm Balm as a brand and the products I have used, and I also love the fact that they are an English company as I like to try and support local businesses! Check out their website here: https://balmbalm.com

This retails on their website for £14.50

2. Konjac Sponge

Obviously this isn’t the particular one I’m using at the moment!  These sponges are AMAZING!!  These are leaping bunny accredited AND they carry the Vegan trademark!

This is a mini sponge is made from the konjac potato which is a perennial plant native to Asia.  It is a natural food source, 97% water, rich in minerals, low in calories and naturally alkaline! They are designed to refine pores and to gently cleanse and exfoliate.

I find this amazing on my skin which is sensitive and can get quite sore and irritable, but I can happily use it every day for a gentle exfoliation which has helped to get rid of any little dry patches I might have.

I literally love this and am so happy that I’ve discovered these!!!  Check out their website for more information about the product and the benefits (of which there is lots!!): http://www.konjacspongecompany.com/what-is-konjac

One of the other really cute things is that the company makes limited edition versions (like this one above)!  The mini sponges retail for £6.99

3. Superdrug Simply Pure Micellar Water with calming soothex (Sensitive Skin)

This is fragrance free, hypoallergenic and dermatologically approved.  I LOVE this product and have recently run out and bought another one.  It’s really affordable and feels calming and hydrating on my skin.  I use this morning and night as part of my routine.

This retails online and in-store at only £2.99 and does last quite a while.  It’s really good at removing make up too (although you do need to use a few cotton pads)!  You can find it online here: Simply Pure Micellar Water

4. Balm Balm Organic Rose Floral Water Hydrosol

This smells so fresh and uplifting!  I use this morning and night after cleansing and also use it throughout the day if I need a little ‘wake up’!!  The only ingredient in this is organically grown Rosa Dameascena (Rose) Flower Distillate

This retails on their website at £12.50 and you can find it in the above Balm Balm link.

5. The Skin Alchemists – The Lady Helen Renewing Facial Nectar

I use this moisturiser in the morning and it is amazing! It has a really nice thick, luxurious consistency and it smells absolutely amazing.  You don’t need much on your skin to leave it feeling hydrated!

It is made up of 16 potent plant extracts which include Ylang Ylang, Rose Water, Sea Buckthorn and Reship CO2 extract and Hyaluronic Acid – all of these have amazing benefits.

Looking on their website it tells us that:

  • Ylang Ylang helps to restore calm, ease emotional anxiety and improve skin elascity
  • Rose water helps to maintain the skin’s ph balance and controls oil production
  • Sea Buckthorn and Reship CO2 extract help to slow the ageing process and repairs skin
  • Hyaluronic acid helps to maintain optimal hydration

The only downside is that this has quite a hefty price tag! It retails on their website at £65 but the results are worth it! Personally I wouldn’t spend that much on a moisturiser BUT if you were looking to invest in a good moisturiser or you have more of a disposable income than I do (!) then I’d definitely recommend this.  You can buy this here: https://skinalchemists.com/products/the-lady-helen-renewing-facial-nectar

So on to my night time routine…..

6. If I’m wearing make up, before using the Superdrug Micellar Water, I use RawGanic Hydrating Pomegranate Facial Wipes

These have FAST become my favourite make up wipes without a doubt! I absolutely love them! They are really gentle on my skin and don’t irritate it, they smell lovely (kind of ‘almondy’) and they really remove my make up!

These are 3-in-1 so cleanse, tone and moisturise as well.  They are made from 100% organic cotton which feels lovely on my skin.  The pomegranate in them helps to naturally hydrate skin and has anti-inflammatory properties!

The other major bonus is that they are SO affordable! They retail for £2.99 which is no more expensive than other brands that you might find on the high street.  These are definitely worth a try!  You can buy them from their website here: www.raw-ganic.com

I normally follow this with the Micellar Water and Rose Floral Water.

7. Next up is my favourite night facial oil, Siskyn Frankincense and Jasmine Night Facial Oil

Before I discovered this I ‘thought’ I didn’t like facial oils….I thought they’d be greasy and horrible and feel awful on your skin…… Oh, how wrong could I be!!

This facial oil has been amazing for my skin.  I put it on before I go to bed, it soaks in to my skin so well and leaves a fine layer of oil on top of my skin to soak in overnight (and doesn’t transfer to my pillow!)

I wasn’t a massive fan of the scent of frankincense initially but the scent is fairly light and I couldn’t NOT use this product.  My skin is SO much softer than it was before and it glows!

The other amazing thing about this product is that it is 100% organic and simply made up of a blend of 18 essential oils, meaning it’s so natural and there are no hidden ‘nasties’!

Ingredients are: Safflower, Apricot Kernel, Calendula ,Flax, Camellia, Evening Primrose, Rosehip, Borage, Wheatgerm, Baobab, Sunflower, Sandelwood, Jasmine, Nyrrh, Helichrysum, Frankincense, Lemon and Patchouli.

It also highlights on the product that it may contain traces of nut oils and that you can’t use it if you’re pregnant.

This really is a worthy investment (and once this is gone, I’ll be getting more!).  It retails for £32 and you can buy it here: https://www.siskyn.co.uk/products/luxe-frankincense-jasmine-night-facial-oil

8. Grounded Mango Lip Scrub

This is one of the products I received in one of my very first subscription boxes and it is fab!

It is packed with vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants; is great for treating dry, flaky lips and it is EDIBLE!! It tastes AMAZING – sugary mango! Every person I know that has tried this has enjoyed it and wanted to go and buy one!  It also contains coconut oil so adds moisturisation too.

This is also really affordable and retails at £4.95.  Grounded do various ‘flavours’, so if mango isn’t your thing, check out the other flavours that they have available: https://groundedbodyscrub.co.uk/collections/lips

9. Lucky Cloud Blooming Marvellous Lip Butter

This comes in a really cute little slidable tin and it’s so lovely.

It has notes of vanilla, rose, lemon and strawberry and is really moisturising (it’s enriched with coconut & cocoa butter which helps, as well as almond, thistle oil and vitamin e)

I have to put this on every night as I can’t sleep if I have dry lips and this helps me get a good nights sleep!

Currently on their website they have this product on sale – I highly recommend getting over there!!  Normally this retails at £4.50 (but is currently up for £2.70!!).  You can buy it here: https://www.luckycloudskincare.com/face-and-lips/blooming-marvellous-lip-butter

10. And finally, I have very dry hands so before I go to sleep I use human+kind Hand+Elbow+Foot Cream in Watermelon

So far this hasn’t irritated my sensitive and dry hands and it smells amazing (makes you want to eat it!

On their website the price is in euros so RRP is €7.95. Check it out here.

So that’s it!!!

I’m loving all these products at the moment and would highly recommend checking them out.  I was lucky enough that all of these (expect the Micellar Water) came in my subscription boxes otherwise I may never have discovered these brands!!

If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below.

I hope this has been useful and interesting!
