Morning my lovelies. I hope you’re all enjoying a bit more freedom and the beautiful sunshine! Sadly, I’m stuck indoors writing uni essays but I’m looking forward to the holidays and hoping the sun keeps shining!
Today I’m absolutely thrilled to be on the blog tour, and one of the closing stops, for Every Last Fear by Alex Finlay, a fabulous thriller with so many twists – I honestly didn’t want to put this down!
about every last fear
Keep your family close, because your enemies are closer.
University student Matt Pine has just received devastating news. Nearly his entire family have been found dead while holidaying in Mexico. The local police claim it was an accident, but the FBI aren’t convinced – and they won’t tell Matt why.
The tragedy thrusts his family into the media spotlight again. Seven years ago, Matt’s older brother, Danny, was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his teenage girlfriend. Danny has always sworn he was innocent, and last year, a true crime documentary that claimed he was wrongfully convicted went viral.
Now his family’s murder is overlapping with Danny’s case, Matt is determined to uncover the truth behind the crime that sent his brother to prison. Even if it means putting his own life in danger, and confronting his every last fear.
Read this gripping thriller, perfect for fans of Karin Slaughter and Lisa Jewell.

Matt is away at college when he finds out that most of his family have been killed on a holiday in Mexico. But it’s the FBI that tell him this – why are they involved? The local police say its an accident but it seems to be more than that….
The Pine’s haven’t had an easy time. With older brother Danny getting send to prison for killing his girlfriend at a party, the family were made famous when a Netflix documentary is made about them and the fact that Danny was wrongfully convicted. But that’s never been proven….
As Danny’s case appears to overlap with the murder of his family, Matt sets out to do what his family were trying to do and uncover the truth. But in the process he puts himself in danger. Will he find the truth or will someone get to him before what happened can be revealed?
This literally had me on the edge of my seat and I didn’t want to put it down. I actually felt like I was watching a Netflix documentary and found myself thinking about it when I was should have been essay writing! The story had me completely gripped and I just wanted to get back to it as quickly as a I could.
The story is told from various people’s view points including Matt and the FBI agent, Keller; as well as from his Mum, Dad and sister Maggie, before their murder. The puzzle pieces together nicely and is paced just right. At one point I thought I’d worked it all out but I couldn’t have been more wrong!
I really enjoyed the writing style which was easy to read and follow. The characters are all brilliant too. There are people in here that you will love (Matt, Keller and Maggie for me!) and one’s that you will not like (the documentary makers!). The plot is so well thought out; the twists and the way everything eventually fits together is fantastic.
If you’re a fan of thriller’s you will absolutely love this – full of edge of your seat stuff, you’ll get through this in no time. But maybe don’t read before bedtime – it’s definitely one of those ‘one more chapter’ books! So overall, an absolutely brilliant thriller that I will certainly read again. Highly recommended by me.
