Morning my lovelies. Today I have something a bit different for you – a review of a childrens book! Is My World Happy? by Michael Ross & Magdelena Adic is a beautifully illustrated educational book aimed at 4-8 years olds, about the ways in which we ruining the planet and how we can all help…….
Will you help Arnie and Mia check if our world is happy? Will you join them on their adventure? Let’s find out how we can make our world happy again.
Is My World Happy? is more than just a book. It is an interactive educational book, not just for children (ages 4 to 8 years) but also for adults. Arnie and Mia were wondering if the world they live on, Planet Earth, is happy. They decided to take you on a journey all around the world. They found plastic bottles, sad animals, smoke above cities, deforestation and so decided to ask you if you would join them on a mission to make the world happy again. The book contains worksheets on this environmental topic for children, parents, and educators. If we try a little harder, together we can create a better future.

This is such a lovely story with a truly important message. Arnie the Snail and Mia the Ant decide to go on an adventure to discover if the world is happy. But they discover that it’s not – they find plastic bottles in the sea, pollution in the sky, trees being cut down and animals being hurt. But then they talk about what we can do to help protect the environment, and encourage children to get involved through a number of worksheets which children and adults will both love.
The book is beautifully illustrated, colourful and eye-catching. I absolutely love the worksheets at the end and will be using them with my nephew when he gets a bit older! As I’ve said the message in this book is so important right now. and will really help you to have a discussion with little ones on what they can do to help – and it will also give us grown ups some food for thought. Do we all really do enough?
This is a fantastic book which will educate our little ones and encourage them to start caring for the planet from a young age. The worksheets are fun and they’ll enjoy completing them (as I’m sure you adults will too!).
This is the first in the Arnie and Mia educational series, and I can’t wait to see what other adventures they go on. I’ll definitely be getting these for my nephew!!
