privacy policy

We do not share personal information with third-parties nor do we store information we collect about your visit to this blog for use other than to analyse content performance through the use of cookies, which you can turn off at anytime by modifying your Internet browser’s settings. We are not responsible for the republishing of the content found on this blog on other Web sites or media without my permission.  This privacy policy is subject to change without notice.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Mailing Lists

If you sign up to our mailing list, through the pop-up box, you do so through Mail Chimp.  The Privacy Policy in relation to this can be found at the bottom of our webpage.  The only data collected is your first name and email address for the purposes of providing you with a monthly newsletter, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

If you subscribe, using the subscribe box you will only receive emails to alert you of new blog posts.  Information collected is your email address and only we have access to this.  You can unsubscribe at any time.

If you unsubscribe from the blog, we permanently delete the information so that we have nothing relating to your email address or name.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Embedded content from other websites

Blog posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish by checking your browser settings on each device – for details, see aboutcookies.org.

Analytics

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. You can delete any comments you made, or request for these to be deleted.

Where we send your data

Data is not shared anywhere other than with the blog owner and Mail Chimp for collection of details.
