my thoughts

Fen and Rob’s wedding is on the horizon.  Wedding plans are in full swing but tensions are rising due to Fen’s mum Marjery, sticking her nose in.  And not only that, the best man has gone AWOL.  Fen enlists Ruby and Hudson to find him in time for the big day, but what secrets will they uncover along the way? And with a random woman showing up in Hudson’s life, Ruby’s feelings are put to the test…..

I’ve loved every one of the Little Duck Pond Cafe books I’ve read, and after the last one I couldn’t wait to read this.  It has a fabulous mixture of mystery and romance, with wonderful characters and a beautiful setting.

I absolute adore Ruby, she’s so lovely and I hate the way she gets brushed off throughout this.  I really just want her and Hudson to get together and the hiccup that arises in this left me soooooo frustrated (and desperate for the next book!). My heart ached for Fen throughout this as she has such a tough time managing her Mum and Rob, so much so that you wonder whether the wedding will even go ahead……

I loved Ruby and Hudson getting together to solve another mystery, it has such a cosy feel to it and I enjoyed every second.  The setting, as always, is amazing and I loved the woodland elements to this, making me want to get my boots on and go for a lovely woodland walk!

All of the Little Duck Pond Cafe books are brilliant, and can all be read as standalone.  If you’re looking for a lovely, easy to read story with brilliant characters, a ton of wedding planning, mysteries to solves and hint of will they/won’t they, then this is for you! As always, highly recommended by me.
